Naturalization process, from consultation to approval

1. Making an appointment for a consultation

You can make an appointment for a consultation by filling out the Inquiry Form on our website, or by contacting us via e-mail or phone.

We will send you a brief questionnaire where you will be able to tell us your preferred date.

In addition to regular office hours,we are available on weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays, so please choose a date that is most convenient for you.

2. Initial consultation

We will meet in person for about one hour to discuss your options.

In some cases, it may be determined that you are not currently eligible to apply for naturalization, or perhaps, that we may only offer advice.

However, the consultation is free of charge, so please feel free to consult with us.

After the meeting,we will explain our firm’s terms and conditions, plan details, and discuss fees for clients who wish to proceed.

Those who wish to proceed will be asked to sign a contract.

3. Preliminary Consultation with the Legal Affairs Bureau

You are required to make an appointment for a preliminary consultation at the Legal Affairs Bureau. You will be instructed on the official documents required for the application.

4. Preparation of Application Documents

After we confirm your payment, we will start to prepare the documents. You will gather the necessary official documents and send them to our office.

5. Application Procedure

After submitting the application documents to the Legal Affairs Bureau, an interview with the examiner will be held a short time later.

On average, it takes about one year to receive notification of approval.

If additional documents are required, we will continue to support you.

6. Application result

Once the application is approved, it will be listed in the official gazette, and the Legal Affairs Bureau will notify you that your application has been approved.
